Media Lab 20 Years: Exhibitions open until 1 Oct & Seminar 25 September 2014

Friday, September 19th, 2014

The exhibitions feature a lot of works – some of which haven’t been seen for a decade or two – also by us @CrucibleStudio, e.g.: Daisy’s Amazing Discoveries (1996), Shift (2001), Tulse Luper Journey (2005), Accidental Lovers (2006), Turing Enigma (2008), Turing Machine set design (2008) & Alan01 (2010). What a nostalgic and proud moment to announce! Thanks, All Partners in Crime!

The seminar’s session “The Art of the Long New” revisits hot topics from media art 10 years ago. With a group of Media Lab artists, designers and alumni, we take a nostalgic look at the expectations for mobile and interactive art presented by them in interviews from the year 2003. How have the visions changed in the past decade? Where is ground-breaking art to be found today?
